Each year, thousands of bicyclists and hikers use Crosby Road as it winds through the hills and timbers of Whiteside County to Morrison Rockwood State Park. A narrow, structurally deficient truss that bottle necked traffic and created safety concerns was replaced to provide both picturesque and safe travel for the visitors to the state park. |

The Village acquired the Site with the intent of utilizing a Municipal Brownfield Redevelopment Grand (MBRG) to fund the necessary environmental due diligence activities. In 2004, the Village enrolled the Site into the SRP with the ultimate goal of securing a comprehensive NFR for the site. Through the MBRG and Wendler, the Village has performed a Phase I ESA, generated a plat of survey, disposed of hazardous materials, and initiated Phase II ESA activities.The highly desirable Site will ultimately be redeveloped as part of the Balmoral Business Complex, generating both employment opportunities and tax benefits for the community. |

Wendler was contract by Dennis Collins, a developer, to assist in the design of a 12 acre commercial subdivision. Completed in 2004, Wendler's responsibilities included design of streets, grading, storm water management, sanitary sewer and watermain.Also provided project coordination with state and local agencies. |
