Wendler Wins Merit Award PDF Print E-mail

Wendler was awarded a Merit Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies for the Heritage Crossing Riverfront Plaza in Dixon, Illinois.

This federally funded project includes a river-front plaza area with multi-use paths along the south bank of the Rock River in the downtown area. Work included construction of a concrete bicycle/pedestrian path along the river's edge and a downtown park space.   Access ramps, stairs, and seating areas are provided throughout the plan to facilitate disabled/pedestrian/bicycle traffic movements to and from the lower path level to the street.
